 The approximate current electricity day charges per kWh are 0.48p with a standing charge of 0.46p so if your solar system is generating more than your house requires then this will go back to the grid free of charge unless you sign up to the SEG (smart export guarantee) where you will be paid a small fee per kWh or you could choose to have storage.
